If you haven’t stopped into the Artel to see the new exhibition by Emily Belanger please join us this Saturday for the closing reception.
These series of drawings and multimedia sculpture works display hybrid oddities with an intimate sensitivity to detail. Inspired by real life DNA fusing, the creatures reference the early imprecise taxonomy of the 17th century and the shifting implications of a branch of science as it develops.
